Learning How to Increase Learner Engagement

Learning How to Increase Learner Engagement, Teaching with pride and honour.

Course Description

As teachers, we must not use technology as a silicon coating but with harnessing the power of technology to connect with our students. No more is about copying and pasting, which we have been doing over the years. Power corrupts politicians, so PowerPoint corrupts teachers if it has just slides and no explanations. The module justifies the “Learning how to increase learner engagement” in particular.

As educators, we have to fight the urge to use technology as a silicon coating and instead concentrate on leveraging the potential of technology to improve our interactions with students. We must avoid the desire to utilize technology as a silicon coating. To do this, we must resist using technology as a silicon covering. It is of the utmost importance that we avoid giving in to the temptation of using technology as a protective covering. Because we have been used to doing this task over the years, it is not as simple for us as cutting and pasting as it has been over those years. When a PowerPoint presentation is made up of just slides and no explanations, it has the same corrupting effect on teachers as power does on politicians. More specifically, this aspect of the lesson, titled “Learning how to enhance student participation,” should have been included in the session that we had planned out in advance.
