Introduction to Notion

Notion is a note-taking app to improve the efficiency of life and work.

Start Notion as a piece of blank paper. Then we will introduce how to use it in 7 sections as below:

1 A page with text or toggle lists

Objective: Use Notion as a page with toggle lists

This section will start with creating a new page and introducing the blocks within a page and will give two examples for using toggle lists.

2 Picture, playlist & video

Objective: Add a picture (or webpage or video) to a page

This section will start with adding a picture to a page.

3 Table

Objective: Add a table to a page

This section will start with creating a table for a page.

4 Formula

Objective: Add a formula to a page

This section will start with some examples of formulas.

5 Pages within a page

Objective: Create pages within a page

This section will introduce the concept of pages within a page in Notion, which is similar as the folders within a folder.

Objective: Understand the usage of database

Objective: Use operations to improve the efficiency

8 Homepage for a knowledge base

Objective: Create a homepage for a personal knowledge base
