I have been teaching for over 15 years in various countries, including South Korea, China, Russia, Thailand, and Kenya.
I currently work as a Curriculum Designer specializing in Project-Based Learning courses for English Language Learners, combining science and nature with English Language Arts. In addition, I am a freelance writer of Graded Readers for children and adults, and have published over 100 titles, as well as writing for ELT Sustainable, a community of English teachers who work to introduce sustainability issues into English language classes. In addition, I volunteer to teach 3rd grade at a migrant school for underprivileged students in Shanghai, China and work as a consultant for Magic Library, leading reading programs and setting up classroom libraries in community schools in Shanghai.
Previously, I worked as Director of Studies at a global language centre, where I was responsible for the recruitment, training and development of hundreds of teachers, as well as curriculum development. I edited, authored or co-authored dozens of course books and readers. I have also set up an English program, volunteer training program, and library at a rural school in Kenya.
I have a Master's Degree in Education, TEFL qualifications in teaching young learners, business students, and using technology. I have a Green Educator certification from Green School Bali and a US State Teaching Licence.
