Train-the-Trainer: Effective Climate Change Communication

Climate Tracker conceived our Train-the-Trainer initiative in order to:

• Convert our workshop resources into replicable modules.
• Empower qualified journalists to deliver trainings on key climate journalism topics.
• Establish a certification process for journalists who wish to be hired as speakers/trainers/facilitators.

With the current surge in wildfires, cyclones, and infectious diseases, a key topic for journalists to understand in this year and beyond is how to highlight the human-interest story behind climate change.

This course has been designed to cover most basic journalism skills—pitching, article-framing, interviewing, data visualization, and more—through a climate & humans lens.

In addition to helping you become an effective trainer, we also have modules that deal with the logistics of holding a workshop, offline or online.
